Hindi ikinatuwa ni House Committee on Women and Gender Equality chairperson at Bataan Rep. Geraldine Roman ang pahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte na “Huwag kayong bakla” sa isang pulis.
“We should not equate being gay or being trans or being lesbian with being weak,” sabi ni Roman.
Nagawa ni VP Sara Duterte ang pahayag sa isang pulis na sangkot sa paglilipat sa kanyang chief of staff na si Atty. Zuleika Lopez mula sa Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) patungo sa Saint Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC)
“I think it’s quite surprising and disappointing the remarks knowing that the Vice President is a declared supporter of the LGBTQ (lesbian, transgender, bisexual, gay, queer) community,” sabi ni Roman.
“I did not expect that kind of remark from her,” dagdag pa nito.
